Brian Matthys, DO
Dr. Matthys, DO, is the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Sunflower Dermatology and Medical Day Spa whose mission is better skin for a better life®. He received a Human Biology Degree from the University of Kansas and completed medical school at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Matthys is a member and past president of Kansas City Dermatologic Society. He is also a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Photobiology, and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Matthys is a participant of Northland Healthcare Access. He is the co-founder of Fair and Fashionable™, a charitable organization created to transform the belief that tanned skin is healthy, beautiful and in-style. He is the creator of eco-sport®, AVOIDTHEBURN®, and EclipseRX®.
Molly B. Menser, DO
Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Menser, DO, is a Kansas City trained dermatologist. She is a 2007 graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where she was presented the President’s Award a top honor given by the University President. She completed her internship at Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her dermatologic training followed at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she received the KU Student Voice award for excellence in clinical teaching, twice.
While completing her training in dermatology, Dr. Menser developed a passion for educating children, adolescents and adults on the prevention of skin cancer. Dr. Menser is a board certified dermatologist and Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Osteopathic Association.
Nicholas A. Rudloff, DO
Dr. Rudloff, DO, was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. He completed his undergraduate studies at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa in 2008 where he was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi Osteopathic Honor Society.
Dr. Rudloff is board certified in Internal Medicine having completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine through the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, Summa Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He served as Chief Resident for the program in 2010-2011. He completed a second residency in Dermatology through the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and served as the Dermatology Chief Resident in 2013-2014. Dr. Rudloff is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Osteopathic Association. He is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Paul Dwyer, PA-C
Originally from the Pocono area of Pennsylvania, Paul Dwyer, PA-C, earned his B.S. from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his masters in physician assistant studies from Marywood’s highly selective program. There, he was chosen to be a peer mentor and elected president of his class. He earned prestigious memberships in both the Alpha Epsilon Lambda and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor societies.
Paul has been practicing dermatology since 2016 and enjoys helping patients achieve healthier skin. Paul brings a kind and thoughtful demeanor and believes in putting patients first.
Paige Lovelace (Landry), MS, PA-C
Paige Lovelace (Landry), MS, PA-C, was born and raised in New England. She graduated from Connecticut College with a double major in behavioral neuroscience and psychology.
After working in clinical research in Boston for two years, she went on to complete a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Since 2014, Paige has been working as a physician assistant in dermatology in both the Boston area and in Providence, Rhode Island.
Lynn Swafford, PA-C
Lynn Swafford, PA-C, was born and raised in central Kansas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Kansas State where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went on to complete her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Wichita State University.
In her second year of Physician Assistant training, Lynn was given the opportunity to complete a clinical rotation in Dermatology where she developed a passion for caring for those with skin disease. Lynn is an acne specialist. Lynn dealt with acne as an adolescent and young adult so she understands the daily struggle of living with acne and is dedicated to caring for those facing the same struggle.
Bailey Kopp, Licensed Aesthetician
Bailey Kopp grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended the Skin Institute in STL. She completed 980 hours of training to become a Licensed Aesthetician.
Bailey has been working at Sunflower Dermatology since July 2018. She loves seeing patients for their monthly facials and prides herself on helping patients achieve their skin goals by sharing her knowledge of products and educating them on all things skincare.
Kristina Carpenter (Smith), Licensed Aesthetician
Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Kristina Carpenter (Smith) joined the Sunflower Dermatology family in October of 2018.
Kristina is a licensed Aesthetician in Missouri and Kansas. She finds it extremely rewarding to have a hand in helping patients achieve their skincare goals by educating them on regimens and doing facials and other procedures.
